How much does HubSpot cost in 2026?
HubSpot's Sales Hub starts at $7 to $150 per seat per month in US dollars, with a free version for up to two users and three paid editions. HubSpot calls each product a hub and bills the Sales Hub per seat. On 26 October 2026, the Sales Hub pricing page showed these prices per seat and per month:
Sales Hub edition | Starts at | Struck-through price beside it | Required onboarding, one time | HubSpot Credits per month |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Starter | $7 | $20 | none listed | 500 |
Professional | $90 | $100 | $1,500 | 3,000 |
Enterprise | $150, sold through sales | none | $3,500 | 5,000 |
HubSpot's free tools need no credit card. On Professional, the monthly payment option still commits you for a year: HubSpot labels it "Commit annually", while Starter's monthly option reads "Commit monthly". The Marketing Hub has its own pricing page, read on 26 October 2026. Its upper editions are priced per month for a set of seats and marketing contacts:
Marketing Hub edition | Per month, from | Seats included | Marketing contacts | Required onboarding, one time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Starter | $7 per seat ($20 also shown) | 1 per seat | 1,000 | none listed |
Professional | $800 ($890 also shown; monthly payment commits annually) | 3 | 2,000 | $3,000 |
Enterprise | $3,600, sold through sales | 5 | 10,000 | $7,000 |
On the Marketing Hub page, the $7 Starter price sits under a banner offering "special Starter pricing" to "New customers only", for "a limited time". HubSpot also runs discount programs for eligible startups and nonprofits. On the day we read it, its Sales Hub page offered new customers who buy the Sales Hub a Revenue Hub Professional seat at $57 per month instead of $95, billed annually.
What does HubSpot cost a team of five in the first year?
For a team of five, the first year of HubSpot's Sales Hub costs at least $420 on Starter, $6,900 on Professional and $12,500 on Enterprise. These totals use the "Starts at" prices read on 26 October 2026, including the $7 Starter price shown beside a struck-through $20; from the second year, the one-time onboarding fee drops out of the bill.
Sales Hub edition, 5 seats | Subscription, 12 months | Onboarding | First year, from |
|---|---|---|---|
Starter | $420 | none listed | $420 |
Professional | $5,400 | $1,500 | $6,900 |
Enterprise | $9,000 | $3,500 | $12,500 |
At the struck-through prices, the Starter year rises to $1,200, and the Professional year to $7,500 with its onboarding. Two costs sit outside these totals: credits beyond the monthly allowance, at $0.010 each, and the Marketing Hub, which has its own subscription and onboarding fee. A colleague who only reads records can take a View-only Seat at no cost, according to the same pricing page. None of the three guides that ranked first for "hubspot pricing" on 26 October 2026, by Make The Grade, JDR Group and Lark, adds the figures up for a team of five.
What do HubSpot's AI agents cost, and who approves their work?
HubSpot runs its AI agents on HubSpot Credits, a monthly allowance that comes with each paid edition of the Sales Hub: 500 credits on Starter, 3,000 on Professional and 5,000 on Enterprise. Its Sales Hub pricing page, read on 26 October 2026, names a Customer Agent, a Prospecting Agent and a Data Agent, and says credits "are used when features take action across the platform". Extra credits cost $0.010 each, bought in packs or on Pay-as-You-Go. Unused credits reset every month and do not roll over. You can cap what each feature spends and set credit limits per action, according to the same page. The page does not say how many credits one agent action uses, and sends you to HubSpot's Rate Sheet for that. Each action your agents take draws on those credits, on top of the price of your seats.
Standards agents read your clients' documents and write to their records, within the rights of the person they work for: whoever starts the conversation or the run, the author of its trigger, or whoever switched its schedule on. A conversation starts in Auto mode by default, where edits and new records go through without asking. By default, every deletion and every outward send, such as an email, still waits for a person's approval, with its impact counted. In Manual mode, the agent also asks before each edit. Each record keeps its history: which colleague or which agent changed what, when, and the value before.
Which HubSpot edition lets you create your own objects?
HubSpot lets you create your own objects, such as a household, an insurance policy or a mandate, on an Enterprise subscription only. Its knowledge base article on custom objects, last updated on 7 October 2026, lists the Enterprise edition of each hub and no other edition. On Starter and Professional, a firm works with the objects HubSpot provides, such as contacts, companies and deals. An adviser then stores a life insurance contract as a deal, or as extra fields on a contact, and the household has no record of its own. The day a firm needs a record for a household or a contract, Starter and Professional no longer fit. For a team of five on the Sales Hub, that rule turns the pricing question into a first year that starts at $420 or at $12,500. Two of the three top-ranked pricing guides say custom objects belong to Enterprise, and none of them puts that price on a client file.
In Standards, a household groups its members, each with a role, and a contract carries each holder's share and the ownership of the asset. You can filter on household and contract links, for example to list every contract in which one client holds a share. Each record has its own drive, and can require supporting documents by type, each with a status and an expiry date.
Strengths
What HubSpot does better.
HubSpot does marketing better than Standards: email campaigns, landing pages and SEO tools, none of which Standards offers. Its ecosystem is also wider. Its pricing page lists "Over 2,000 leading apps and web services", and HubSpot Academy, its community and its knowledge base are open to every user, free ones included. A team can sign up for the free CRM on its own, where Standards starts with an engineer.
If your priority is to generate leads online and nurture them in volume, pick HubSpot.
When is Standards a better choice than HubSpot?
Standards suits a firm of 5 to 50 people whose work lives in client files: households, companies, contracts and the documents behind them. It fits when the HubSpot question has become "do we need Enterprise to describe our clients?", and when you want agents to do the filing under rules you can read. Standards is the better choice when:
your clients are households, companies and estates, and each link carries a role, a share or an ownership regime;
each file must hold typed supporting documents with a status and an expiry date;
you want agents to file and update records, while, by default, a person approves every deletion and every email they send;
your data must be hosted in Europe, or on your own servers;
your AI tools (Claude, Codex, Cursor) must read and write your records through the Standards API, SDK and MCP server.
The other Standards comparisons apply the same criteria to other tools.
How do you move from HubSpot to Standards?
You move from HubSpot to Standards with Standards engineers, starting with a 30-minute call about your HubSpot objects, your exports and the tools around them. You leave that call with a plan: what Standards replaces, what agents take over, and how many weeks the move takes. The length depends on the volume and the state of your data, which is why the engineers estimate it with you instead of on this page. You describe your business, the Standards AI architect proposes the objects, and the engineers load your HubSpot exports into them. You can keep HubSpot for marketing during and after the move, and move only your client files. The engineers set up the workspace with you, because self-serve sign-up is still on a waitlist for teams that prefer to start on their own.
You and a Standards engineer spend 30 minutes on your HubSpot objects, your exports and the tools around them.
You describe your business to the AI architect, which proposes objects, fields and views that you validate step by step on sample records.
Standards engineers load your HubSpot exports into those objects.
You connect your Gmail inbox and your calendar, create your first agents, and choose whether each conversation runs in Auto or Manual mode.
Questions
Before you switch tools.
Yes, for up to two users. HubSpot's free tools need no credit card, according to its Sales Hub pricing page on 26 October 2026. An account that only uses free tools is hosted in the United States. AI credits and the paid features start with the Starter edition, shown at $7 per seat per month beside a struck-through $20.
Four things drive a HubSpot bill: the edition, the number of seats, the required onboarding fee on Professional and Enterprise, and what you add on top, such as extra AI credits or the Marketing Hub. A firm that needs its own objects for households or contracts also has to reach Enterprise, the only edition that includes custom objects.
A free-only HubSpot account is stored in the United States. A paying account is stored in the data center HubSpot assigns from your IP address at sign-up, and one of HubSpot's data centers is in the European Union. Paying customers can move their data to another data center at no charge, according to HubSpot's EU data center page on 26 October 2026.
Standards does not publish its prices yet, so this page cannot say it costs less. Standards charges per person per month, with the guided setup included in the subscription, and an engineer gives you the price on the first call. What to compare is what a client file requires: HubSpot needs Enterprise for custom objects, and Standards describes your own objects, such as households and contracts, at setup.
Yes. Standards runs no campaigns or bulk email, so HubSpot can keep that work. Qualified leads come into Standards by import or through the API, and their files, documents and emails live there afterwards. Gmail and Google Calendar connect on Standards hosted in France (OVH, and Supabase in Paris); Outlook needs a dedicated instance or your own infrastructure.
